This is a Sharps New Model ,Conversion to Metallic Cartridge , Saddle Ring Carbine. This Model Sharps U.S. Conversiaon Carbine Serial#C,7506 Has a 22" round barrel with a very good bore. 50-70 Caliber. Metal is all Blue/Brown patina with some traces of Case Hardening remaining. Solid Hardwood Stocks. Shows smoothing and handling marks. Left side of Buttstock has a "DFC" cartouche in a ribbon border. Has oil finished surfaces. Lockplate marked on upper right side: "R.S. LAWRENCE PAT./APRIL 12th 1859". and lower right side is marked :"C.SHARPS' PAT./OCT.5th 1852". Top of barrel near breech: "NEW MODEL 1863". Top rear tang is marked with the SER.# "C,7506." Has the rear , Lawrence Marked with Patent Dates, Carbine sight graduated to 800 yards. . Buyer Pays $35.00 shipping to the lower 48 states. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
