This Winchester M-1 Carbine, Cal .30 was mfg about 11/43 and is a Block 1 production code w/narrow tang, square millcut, 2-Notches, Hsg Lug T-3,, Rear Hole, Short Hand Guard Lip. The parts are all WW II & correct to the war period. The following parts are inventoried
to this Winchester Carbine ; Receiver - Type 1, Rear Flip Sight w/Block "S", Recoil Plate - UM T -2, Barrel - w/"W" abt 4 in below the Front sight, Front Sight - T-1 UM, Gas, Pistol & Barrel Skirt - Correct, Bolt - Flat T -2 w/"W" & components, Trig Hsg - T-3 w/"W", Trigger - T-2 w/"W", Sear - T-2 um, Hammer - T-3 w/"W", Safety - T-3 w/"EW", Mag Catch - T-3 w/"W", Oper Slide - T-3 w/"W", Stock - later WW II wartime replacement.
There is what appears to be a "W" stamped in the sling well, Handguard - T-2 w/2 holes and the correct "W" stamped on the underside. Buttplate - Winchester, Sling - T-2 w/Flat Rounded Corners Buckle a "C Tip ((about 1943-44). Overal the parts content is Winchester
and in verg good condition. I would give this Winchester Carbine an "NRA Rating of Very Good
