You are on a very hard to find "ORIGINAL BANNED BENELLI (11711) M4 LE H2o Model - FULLY MADE IN ITALY AND FINISHED IN THE USA WITH THE ROBAR NP3 FINISH".
This is a factory built 7+1 with Collapsible Stock and NOT a high-capacity conversion.
THIS SHOTGUN IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION, NEVER FIRED OR ASSEMBLED IN ORIGINAL BOX!
Only a few of these M4 H2O Tactical Shotguns were released in the U.S. before ATF banned their wholesale distribution. Although the exact number made is not being released, it is thought that perhaps fewer than 100 exist. It features a collapsible/pistol grip stock and 7+1 capacity which would not normally be importable. Benelli attempted a work-around by importing the parts, having them finished by Robar in the NP3 finish, and assembling them "in country". This Tactical Shotgun was disallowed by ATF which Benelli agreed to stop any additional wholesale distribution while the ATF allowed those already in the system.
The receiver, barrel, mag tube, and bolt assembly are finished in NP3 which is a highly corrosion resistant, self-lubricating finish, low friction electroless Nickel/Teflon finish. The NP3 Coating out performs the less expensive Titanium Cerakote in many was. It is stronger with lease abrasive properties thus will not wear out noncoated parts like Titanium Cerakote does. In addition, it has a higher chemical resistant value than Titanium Cerakote. The NP3 is a much better coating but much more expensive.
The newer less expensive M4 H2o models have a capacity of 5+1 (notice the bulge in the magazine tub) and has a Titanium Cerakote coating instead of the NP3.
The M4 was developed for the U.S. Military and is issued to the USMC as the M1014. This is essentially that exact gun but with the NP3 finish. It is a gas operated semi-automatic shotgun designed around an entirely new action called the "auto regulating gas operated" (ARGO) system. This simple but reliable and robust system utilizes a pair of cylinders and pistons alongside the barrel to operate the action. They are self-cleaning and enable the gun to function reliably with anything from light 2-3/4" loads to 3" magnums without need for adjustment. This shotgun features an 18-1/2" barrel that is equipped with the screw-in choke system and ghost ring sights. The receiver is topped with a rail for simple attachment of optics.
Condition is new/unfired and this gun comes in the original box with manual, paperwork, oil, and choke wrench.
