Description:
With a shortage of handguns and World War I on the horizon, it became necessary in the early 20th century to make a .45 ACP revolver for troop use. Both Smith & Wesson and Colt produced these revolvers for the military for WWI, and many still saw action in WWII and the Korean War. This 1917 is in good condition and includes the moon clips and moon clip tool. Nearly 100 years old now, this revolver shows how Colts can stand the test of time. Numbers match on the crane, frame, and barrel. No military arms or Colt collection is complete without a US Army 1917.
