Description:
Extremely rare L.C.Smith 10 gauge Ideal grade ejector with fine damascus barrels.Built in 1919,this gun is in remarkable all original condition.It retains 100% of the original case colors,98% of the original damascus pattern,and 98% of the original wood finish.The 30" damascus barrels are choked full and full and have perfect bores and 3" chambers.The barrels lock up tightly to the action with no play at all.The ejectors are timed and strong.According to the factory letter,only 4 Ideal 10 gauge guns were built with damascus barrels.This one came out of an estate where it had been in storage for 75 years.The wood is nicely figured and is very sound.There is one small hairline crack on the right side of the stock that has been properly repaired.Otherwise,the gun is flawless. This is a true collector quality Smith in a rare configuration.C&R eligible.
