Description:
This is a excellent example of a early TWO Digit serial number WWI Crown/Erfurt Artillery Luger dated 1914 with a very low serial number and WWI unit markings on the rear grip strap...The chamber is dated 1914 and the front toggle has the Imperial Army "Crown/Script" letter proofs and Imperial Eagle firing proof....The Imperial Eagle firing proof and Crown/Script letter proof also repeated on the right and left breech end of the barrel respectively...The Erfurt " Crown/Script" letter proof is stamped on the left side of the barrel and the rear toggle, many parts also stampted with a single Crown/Gothic" letter proofmark as used by the Erfutr=rt Arsenal...This gun is fitted with both front and rear sights having the very desirable "fine-tune" adjustment usually found on early Artillery Lugers...The rear Grip strap is marked " F.F.A./41.15", indicating it was weapon number 15 and belonged to the 41st Foot Artillery Battallion....It has the rust blue finish and straw colored smaller parts...It has a tin plated magazine with a unmarked wooden base...all numbers match including the Walnut Grips...Grip Screws have Inspectors Mark...It is shown with custom pair of Ivory faux Grips..The original serial marked grips come with the gun...98%-95% NRA rated Excellent..DWM built 151,000 of this model Erfurt Arsenal built only 23,000....As you can surmise most of the early war lugers did not survive the war...A good,solid, and very early two digit serial number example of a Model 1914 Erfurt Artillery Luger Pistol.......Personal Check or Money Order...Layaway Available......Shipping and Insurance $ 35.00
