Description:
This is a very nice vintage Taurus Model 689 in .357 Magnum that was discontinued in 1998. This 6-shot medium-frame SA/DA revolver features a gloss-blue factory finish, a 4" barrel with a ventilated rib and a full-length underlug. It has an adjustable target-style rear sight with a red-ramp front sight, a case-hardened trigger and hammer, and target-style hardwood grips. This example is in excellent condition and has obviously spent most of it's life in storage. The factory blue finish rates 98% plus with only some very tiny handling/storage marks visible under close inspection. The bore is bright and pristine, with sharp rifling and zero visible imperfections. The cylinder bores are equally as nice. The factory grips are in like-new condition and show no wear, damage, or repairs. The action is perfectly "in time" and is smooth and precise. The cylinder locks up tight and the trigger is quite good. This Taurus Model 689 works 100% like the day it left the factory. If you have been looking for a low-cost .357 magnum revolver that you can shoot at the range, carry afield, and keep for home defense, this Taurus would be a great choice. It is not often that we get one of these in such excellent condition.
