Description:
George Layman's book on British Bulldog revolvers describes this example as a 2nd model 44 Large frame, with serial number (#79x) in the transitional range between 1st and 2nd models. Beautiful Mother of Pearl grips. Nickel is fairly intact. Action tight and nice, feels mechanically sound, but gummy. Single action is fine, but hangs-up in double action. Suspect minor issue, probably dirt. Cylinders and bore/rifling in very nice shape for their age; we would not hesitate to shoot this gun.
