$Reduced!$ Handy little 7mm Mauser Sporter. Commercial Crown BU proof Intermediate length action dates to 1905, based on serial# 96xx. Aside from proof stamps, front ring devoid of markings. Serial number appears on bottom of action behind recoil lug, and on underside of barrel, ahead of caliber stamp. "Bernal Arms" marked on barrel, behind the express sight island. 20-3/4" barrel has a beautiful, crisp, clean, shiny bore, chamber and rifling. Apparently had a G&H side mount installed...not a super job of plugging the holes, but fixable. OR, install another Griffin and Howe mount and scope, OR... Other areas that will need attention: install/graft a wood patch in the gap under the ejector box, address the filed-down standing rear sight, find Winchester Super Grade sling swivels to fit the Griffin and Howe swivel studs, or replace studs with something more modern like Uncle Mikes. Attractive walnut stock has a horn fore end tip, fine checkering, 13-1/2" pull over plastic butt plate. Barrel channel stamped "Made in Germany" but no other markings. Blueing and wood finish in nice shape, with no hidden rust or other red flags. 7x57 Mauser caliber CA sales OK,C&R OK.
