There are “DP” and “Made in Italy” stamps on the barrel. For most of its life it hung over the fireplace with a powder horn and could certainly serve that purpose well again. Or you could put it to use by shooting patched round balls out of it. The thing about its design is that the rifling is too fast for ball Ammo and too slow to stabilize a sabot. Therefore it loses accuracy after 50 yards. However, if you’re hunting in woods, most of your shots are within that distance for which it would work well. I am including two sizes of round lead balls that I cast as well as Hornady round balls and some Winchester percussion caps. Buy some black powder and some .010” patches and you’re ready! Overall condition is very good with the slightest corrosion on top of the lock but this is barely perceptible.
