Description:
General Specs: Colt, Year 1908, .38 special
Serial Number: 304902

Colt revolvers have been on fire in the collecting world as they have always been considered the finest revolvers ever produced, worldwide.  In 1904 Colt introduced it's first medium frame double action target model revolver as the Colt Officer's Model.  From then to 1969 Colt would produce versions of this under several names.  The Officer's Model was always Colt's premium revolver until the introduction of the super-premium Python in 1955.  In the days when the revolver was King of the Matches, the Officer's models were always the favorite of the champions and Colt's held all the records.  This fine Colt Officer’s Model, second issue sn304902 made in 1908, was the first year of the “Second Issue” or “Second Model”.  The revolver retains 98% of it original high-luster Colt blue, perfect bore, factory checkered walnut grips in near perfect condition with only light holster and handling marks showing.  With the 7 ½” barrel and adjustable front and rear sights, it is still one of the finest target revolvers in the world.  Anyone collecting “snake guns” should have a premium example of this early, medium framed revolver for their collection.  It would be hard to find a better example at the price offered, and considering the revolver is 110 years old, it is a very solid investment quality Colt that you can still take to the range and enjoy shooting.  The action is rock solid and in perfect time, the single action trigger pull breaks light and crisp, and the double action pull is what has made Colt famous then and now.  Thanks for looking!
