Description:
A 1900 DWM American Eagle Luger. 7.65 cal. Sn range is 102XX. Matching parts are barrel, frame, T.D. Lever, side plate, toggle, grip safety and grips. Correct vintage clip but not numbered to gun. Bore shows good rifling but considerable grey/frost and some minor pitting. Nice lustrous blue in some areas and bright corners and edges in other areas. Over all bluing is 60-70%. Fair straw colors on trigger and traces on other parts. The only actual minor pitting is on the side plate and around the end of the take down pin. Appears that the mainspring has been replaced with what may be an incorrect period spring. Notice shims in pictures which apparently position the spring. The wooden shim appears to increase spring pressure and the plastic one keeps the spring in correct position within the frame. Long and short of the story is that it needs a new and correct spring.
