Introduced in 2006, the Kimber Model 84M Classic "Select Grade" was one of their top of the line production rifles. It features a 22" inch sporter contour barrel with a matte blue finish, a 6-shot internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, a 3-position Mauser-style safety, a full length Mauser style extractor, and a beautiful checkered Claro Walnut stock with a hand-rubbed oil finish and an ebony forend tip. The stock also came from the factory with sling swivel studs installed and a 1" inch Pachmayer Decelerator recoil pad. This particular example is chambered in the very popular .243 Winchester cartridge, a versatile cartridge that can take Whitetail deer or similar sized game with very little recoil and a high degree of accuracy. This Model 84M Classic Select Grade is unfired since leaving the Kimber factory and is in minty excellent condition. The factory matte blue finish is flawless except for one little ding on the barrel a couple inches from the muzzle. There is a close-up picture of this spot. The bore is pristine with sharp rifling and no imperfections. The stock is also in minty condition with no dings, dents, or scratches. The checkering is still crisp and clean. As mentioned previously, this rifle has been in storage since it was bought new and has not been carried afield or fired since being test-fired at the Kimber factory. Sorry, the original box and paperwork were lost some time ago. These rifles are well known for both their beautiful and classy looks and their superb reliability and accuracy.
