Richardson & Overman Gallager Patent Saddle Ring Carbine , serial number 16,XXX, .50 caliber with 22 ¼” round bbl., buttstock patch box with extra nipple inside. Crisp markings on hammer plate. Metal shows traces of original finish, mechanically fine, bore is very good. A solid example of a Civil War Carbine.
