Description:
From a mid-west sale, a antique (appox.) 69 cal. smooth bore, full stock, percussion musket. The 36" round barrel has no rear and a blade front sight (see photos). It's difficult to see down the bore but what I can see looks dark (I have not cleaned this gun). The wood of the full length stock has several modifications and repairs as well as several dents and dings from years of use. The stock has a brass butt plate (see photos). The trigger assembly and lock plate appear to be steel and work as they should. The lock has a strong spring and functions as it should including half cock. The metal of the barrel and lock has a stained and mottled brown patina (see photos). The gun has brass fittings and a brass nose cap (see photos). The ram rod and hammer screw are absent. (see photos). I can not guarantee a gun this old will shoot however it appears functional and complete therefore I am offering it at a low price and no reserve.
