Description:
This original E. Remington 1858 New Model 44R revolving rifle conversion has a 26-1/2” blued octagon barrel mounted with a blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. The bore is in very good condition. The top of the barrel is stamped with model, patent date and manufacturer information. Both the tang and trigger guard have matching serial numbers. Separate matching serial numbers are seen on the cylinder and cylinder plate. Both the frame and cylinder are in good condition with the exception of areas of light pitting, usage dents and dings and age patina. The Walnut stock with steel butt plate and checkered wrist are in good condition with the exception of minor usage dents and dings. A crack in the wrist on the left side going into the frame appears to have been repaired. The length of pull is 14”, overall length is 45”, weight is 7 lbs. Our stock number is A674.
