Colt Match Target Woodsman, 2nd Series, Cal. .22 LR, Ser. 77478 S,. Mfg.1950. Absolutely awesome for a 69 year old estate half gun. It has to be seen to be believed. If it had more than a box, I would be amazed. Externally the gun is in factory new condition. The blue remaining is a conservative 99.99%. I give that rating only because there may be something somewhere that I may have missed. The striated gripstraps are prone to show use and it has no sign of it graying. The factory thumb rest grips are flawless just as they left the factory. The grip screws like wise. The interior, slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp indicate only the slightest use. The barrel like the rest of the gun is pristine. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. Not trace of frost anywhere. The muzzle which left the factory in the white has no sign of flash burn. My friend, this is as close to unfired as it gets.
