Whitney (Wolverine), Cal. .22 LR. Ser. 36483. Near factory new in the original box and sleeve. This Whitney appears to to be almost exactly as it left the factory in 1957. It's from an estate near to where Bob Hillburg, the inventor of the first aluminum framed pistol ever made lived. Bob was a friend of mine and was previously a design engineer for Colt and High Standard Company. Other than a few very tiny surface nicks gun is minty. There is no evidence anywhere that we can find to show it has ever been fired. It also appears that it is in the original box. One writer listed Whitney as the" fastest shooting.22 ever" .Not much more to say. For the serious collector it is a wonderful find, a historic milestone gun in minty condition, with an original box and sleeve and of course the original magazine for only ....SHIPPED .....$1695.
