The Winchester Model 12 was a famed gun on the trap fields and won many National Championships. Known throughout the world as the very finest pump action shotgun ever made, these guns were hand fitted and machined to perfection. The Trap Grade was a special gun, with deluxe, high figured wood, fine hand cut checkering, fancy checkered forend, and tuned to be smooth as glass in operation. The butt stock had a black diamond inlay just behind the receiver, hence the name “BLACK DIAMOND TRAP”. This fine Winchester Model 12, sn505764 made in 1927, has been well cared for during its 9 decades of use. This gun has been restored and is ONE OF THE FINEST RESTORATIONS I HAVE SEEN…IT IS PERFECTION! (JUST NOTICED THE DING IN FOREND CHECKERING. THAT WILL BE FIXED TO PERFECTION BEFORE SALE) The gun is historically correct in all ways and is 100% new condition and mechanically excellent as well. The action is still tight and operates smoothly, 30” Full choke barrel has mirror perfect bores and Winchesters solid rib. English style stock is highly figured feather-crotch black walnut, and measures 14” to the Winchester butt plate, all to factory specs. What a great gun for waterfowl, long pheasants, and the fine game of trap, and a collectible Winchester to boot. The gun will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use. Thanks for looking.
