RARE LINDNER 1ST MODEL CIVIL WAR .58 CAL. PERCUSSION CAVALRY CARBINE CA. 1863. Only 890 made all went to the 1st Michigan Cavalry and the 8th W. Virginia Mounted Infantry in 1863. All original and matching with excellent metal with medium grey patina. Crisp maker’s patent on the breech block “EDWARD LINDNER’S/PATENT/MARCH 25, 1859”. Walnut stock with extra nice U.S. Government Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche on the heal of the butt stock. Very fine bore and in perfect working order. Very seldom seen for sale and one of the scarcest Civil War Cavalry Carbines.
