SALE PENDING. Here is a Forsyth 14 bore Percussion Shotgun, cased with all the original accutrements. Rarely do you find a vintage piece such as this double withinal condition thoughout. Barrel brown at 98%. Traces of the original charcoal blue on the triger guard, floor plate and buttplate. Sharp game scene and scroll engraving. Locks perfectly functional, going smoothly from fire to half cock and full cock. Dolphin hammers. Bores are excellent no significant pitting, very smooth and mirror like measuring .719. Barrels are 27 1/2". No cracks or repairs to the wood. Nicely figured stock. Weight of gun is 8 LBS. LOP is 14 3/8". Drop at Comb and heel is 1 1/8" and 1" respectively. As an antique, this can be shipped directly as local law allows (no NJ or NYC) for $75. There is also the possibility of shipping to the UK (buyer pays for the additional charges). Forsyth was the inventor of the percussion lock and was a significant player in the evolution of the modern shotgun.
