This is NOT a reproduction.
No rust or pitting. Retains some of its original bluing. Gun HAS NOT been refinished or reblued.
The revolver has an 8" octoganal barrel. Bore is great. Case hardened hammer, fire blued trigger and brass trigger guard.
The top barrel flat is marked: "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/ E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A./ NEW-MODEL".
Small single letter inspection marks are stamped on most components.
It has smooth oiled walnut grips. The left grip is stamped with the script initials of the ordnance inspector.
Gun is mechanically sound.
We have NOT test fired this gun.
Comes with holster - we do not know how the holster and gun are related.
