This is a Belgium made Safari grade .270 in it's original configuration. I bought this rifle Presumably new about 40 years ago. I sighted in the scope and took it on 4 elk hunts. Outside of that, it was never fired. It has VERY light "brush" scratches on the wood from the hunting, but no major dings or chips. The blueing is very good but when removing the scope I tried to get off some left-over thread locker that had seeped out of the screw-hole and accidently removed a small amount of blueing under where the front scope base fits. It's not bad, but thought it was worth mentioning. The serial # is: 5L 30064, which makes it a 1965 model, (pre-salt era). I truly don't think that there has been more than 50 rounds shot through this gun. It has a monte-carlo stock with a bare wood lindseed oil finish, with no laquar or sealant on the wood. It has the original fold-down rear iron sight and front iron sight. The rear sight folds down far enough to mount a scope. It also has the gold scrolling on the floor-plate and trigger guard.
