Beautiful 12 gauge sideplated boxlock double with ejectors, made in Gardone, Italy by Vincenzo Bernardelli for, and imported by, Sloan’s Sporting Goods Co., Ridgefield CT in the 1960s-70s. IMPORTANT NOTE: the buttstock was professionally shortened for a small-statured shooter; LOP is 13 inches without the fine leather lace-on recoil pad, 13.5 inches with the pad. With its 25” barrels and reduced LOP, this is an ideal upland bird gun for a younger hunter, small woman or small man. Single steel bead sight on 25-inch solid matte rib barrels, 3-inch chambers, fixed chokes Mod and Full. "Quadruple bite” action. The receiver is beautifully case-hardened with a light floral scroll engraving. Engraving continues on all sides of the receiver with rosettes at the screws and hinge. Underside is marked GAMECOCK/PREMIER inside a scrollwork border. Tang-mounted thumb safety switch and single nonselective trigger. Mounted on a multipoint checkered English straight grip walnut stock with matching checkered splinter forearm and fitted with a plastic Bernardelli buttplate. Excellent overall, 95 percent condition. Barrels, receiver, and stock display only minimal handling marks, mirror bores. Mechanically excellent. USPS Money Order ONLY. Check out what others are selling this for, and thanks for looking.
