This is an As New In Box Browning BAR Short Trac in .270 WSM with an oil finish and satin nickel receiver. The rifle has not been fired since leaving the factory in 2012.ShortTrac means short action calibers. Like the WSM rounds. One look and you know that this model is not short on good looks. But don’t let the beautiful appearance of the BAR ShortTrac fool you. Underneath the attractive exterior is a rugged and powerful autoloading rifle capable of delivering magnum-level power with pinpoint accuracy. Fast follow-ups. From its satin nickel receiver finish and hammer-forged barrel to its multi-lug bolt and oil finished Grade II select Walnut stock. Some people think that a BAR this exquisite is only for show. And although we would not recommend taking it to the extreme locations where you would take a BAR Stalker, there are still plenty of places you know where a gun this nicely finished is appropriate. And nothing embellishes a trophy photo more than one of these BARs prominently displayed. Never forget, the BAR ShortTrac is the hunting rifle that sets the bar for every other autoloader on the planet.
