Here is a very scarce Remington 40XC target rifle built by the Remington Custom Shop in 1977. It is still new in box, and has never been fired since leaving Remington's factory. Caliber is 7.62 NATO (308 Win), which is the only caliber I believe these were chambered in. These are very scarce rifles and this particular one come's with all the factory paperwork and accessories. There is the factory test target, aluminum handstop (still in padded envelope), aluminum insert in accessory rail, and allen wrench used to adjust buttplate(still sealed in plastic bag). Paperwork includes manual, Custom Shop letter, and original test target. Test target attests to the extreme accuracy of this rifle. The two 5 shot groups averaged .32" c-c at 100 yards! Barrel is medium heavy 24" long stainless steel. Date code on barrel is "RO", which indicates a Nov 1977 production. These were all manufactured as 5 shot repeaters with blind magazine. This particular rifle was purchased new by an elderly friend of mine, never shot. Please look over pictures and contact me if you have any questions. The lines appearing on stock in photos are just oil from storage and will wipe off. Overall condition is new and just as it left factory. Shipping in conusa will run a flat $50 via insured UPS.
