Description:
We are offering for sale an Ithaca Grade 4E Single Barrel Trap shotgun chambered in 12Ga. This is a scarce gun in very good, highly collectible condition. Everything appears to be original to the gun. I believe this gun was manufactured in 1916 (Ser # 2783XX)
The barrel is in very good condition with some blue loss; Plum patina. I am unsure if this is considered a 32” or 34” barrel so please see the photograph with the tape measure. The bore remains bright and shiny with a MOD choke. Single bead sight; Partial solid rib. The receiver is very good with brilliant engravings on all sides; Original case colors visible in places. The box-lock action is perfect; Gun functions flawlessly. The furniture is very nice on this older 4E. The shoulder stock shows minimal wear; Pachmayr “WhiteLine” recoil pad. LOP is 14”. No damage noted. The fore-end is very good as well with some light handling wear; No serious damage noted; Some wear to checkering.
