This is a near-mint Walther Model 8 rig with original finish rating at about 98+%. Nice high-polish blue and mechanically it functions well. Comes in .25 or 6.35 caliber. It also comes with two Walther banner (original) magazines. The gun comes in a 1915 dated holster that could be Police issue. The number 26 could indicate a unit or rack number. A gun this small would most likely be a police detective or back up piece. The Model 8 was not made until 1920, so the holster was made for some other small caliber gun. Maybe an earlier model Walther, but the Model 8 fits perfectly in the holster. The holster is also excellent with the only "issue" being the closure strap. It must have pulled away from its original spot and then been re-stitched to the position it is now. The rarity in this holster is found in the 1915 date, just as WWI was breaking out. Guaranteed authentic and original.
