Description:
Offered is a very fine example of a 5th Model Burnside saddle ring carbine. This old percussion breech loading carbine is in exceptionally good condition with no cracks in the wood, a considerable amount of the color case hardening on the receiver and hammer, about 98% original blue on the barrel, a couple of light dings in the wood, beautiful bright shiny bore and all matching parts. Inspector's cartouches are sharp, initials have been carved on the stock as can be seen in my pictures. It does show wear and very light pitting and freckling on the saddle ring and ring mount.
