CUSTOM BELGIUM BROWNING SAFARI......possibly by Fred Wells. If you want a gorgeous, custom built rifle that happens to shoot three shots under 0.70 inches at 100 yards, then look no further! Check out the test target! This rifle started life as a standard grade Begium Safari but was then transformed into a Masterpiece! Here is a gorgeous Belgium Browning Safari rifle chambered in 338 Win Mag with a new Leupold VXIII 3.5-10X40 scope. This custom rifle sports a beautiful figured piece of walnut that is inletted to perfection. The stock is marked with the stockmakers crest of FW....not sure but it could be a Fred Wells stock! Stunning 22 lpi checkering wraps the forearm and is also at tang of stock. CHeckering pattern resembles those found on other custom Fred Wells rifles. LOP is 13.75 inches. The rifle and scope weighs in at 9 lbs on my bathroom scale. Bluing is a flawless, deep rich blue with tasteful engraving on the receiver, barrel, floorplate, and grip cap where the previous owner's initials are in gold. Someone spent a lot of money for this rifle as the workmanship is perfection! Rifling is clean and sharp. Barrel length is 24 inches. The trigger brealks like a glass rod at around 2.5 lbs. The action is smooth and sounds like a bank vault, as did many of these fine Belgium rifles. This rifle shoots sub MOA with factory Federal Premium ammunition at 100 yards from a rest. Scope has a Duplex reticle. You won't be disappointed in this fine rifle! Must ship to a valid FFL. Shipping fee of $50 is to CONUS. Insurance is optional and paid by the Buyer.
