Description:
This is an early I. Barbar flintlock Silver Mounted Queen Anne style. It has a Silver Grotesque Mask on the Butt and the silver inlay on the left side. The mechanical function is very good and crisp. It is engraved on the tang and barrel top and bottom. It is marked London on the barrel top and has Barbar on the bottom of the barrel with crown GP, crown V and a star over IB, which is the I. Barbar maker mark. The top of the barrel has been lightly cleaned, it is a 58 caliber smoothbore flintlock pistol. I. Barbar was a London maker of very fine firearms 1720-1780.
