All original and complete. Lock stamped “EAGLE /U.S./SPRINGFIELD”. Early type with 2 piece trigger guard with sling swivel. Stacking swivel with sling swivel on front band. Long wrist stock characteristic of the Cadet with the short 29 ½” barrel. Very good overall with the original finish on the stock with various minor dings. Has old hairline crack at wrist but barely visible. Butt plate tang stamped “U.S.”. Barrel with dark blue-patina mix. Breech block (1873 date) with 30% plus case colors. Working order and excellent bore. Scarce with only 2000 made for the U.S. Military Cadets. Priced reasonably for one of these. SOLD Antique: Yes |
