French Model 1892 Berthier 8mm caliber carbine. Made in 1896 at the St. Etienne Arsenal. Serial numbers are matching, except magazine shell. Bore has strong rifling with an area of pitting. Wood has an arsenal repair at the toe very good overall condition.
