Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS According to the serial number this 1860 Army was manufactured in 1862. Examine the photos to assess the overall condition. All serial numbers match. The action is crisp and properly timed. There is minor to and fro movement of the cylinder with about a 1/32" gap between the cylinder face and barrel. The rifling is strong. I do not know the purpose or meaning of the four brass brads in the left grip. The right grip is blackened at the lower rear and is just shy of the back strap (see photo 1 and 7). There are no grip cartouches and no visible cylinder scene. There are inspector marks. The detent spring is missing from the barrel wedge. This gun is unusual in that there are cuts on the recoil shield and butt for a shoulder-stock and instead of a four screw it has a three-screw frame. Contact me with questions.
