SOLD PENDING FUNDS - For sale is a 1938 Colt New Service Shooting Master that was a single gun shipment special order for a Motorcycle Police officer as detailed in the Colt factory archive letter. These were the epitome of Colt Prewar Double Action - Colt went all out with these, and intended them to be the absolute best target revolver available, with more hand fitting of parts as well as the hand checkered front and back straps. This firearm has been equipped with a light weight hammer and comes with superb stag stocks that are thick and fit the hand extremely well.
The finish on this revolver has wear, markings, freckling, and other spots of oxidation. The bore is excellent. Wonderful 81-year old specimen of a firearm which exhibits all of the details and finish that made Colt the premiere firearms manufacturer. Please view the photos here for purpose of evaluating the condition for yourself. Included in the sale is the factory letter. This item qualifies as a C&R.
