Description:

Mid-19th Century Antique DERINGER Pistol

Single Shot Concealable Firearm Circa 1840

Here we present an antique Deringer Pistol, made circa 1840. Henry Deringer designed a small, single shot, large bore pistol in the 1830s that was so successful that his name became a noun. Others seeking to get their piece of the pie made close copies, some of which were maker marked and many which were not. Henry Deringer was aggressive in trying to warn against those which were not his. From that time forward, Deringer became synonymous with single shot concealable pistols.

This example features light engraving. It is unmarked. Bore is .34 caliber.

The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The stock is in fair shape with visible wear and cracks. The bore is dark. The action is mobile but will not remain in the cocked position.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 2 inches.

Caliber: .34 Percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.
