Colt Officers Model Match. Cal. .38, Ser. 750293.
This 1958 beauty has the newly marked " Heavy Barrel". The condition is really quite nice for a 61-year-old gun. It retains about 90-95% of the original factory finish. The bulk of the loss is due to sharp edge silvering and some small patches of very light surface flaking on the frame and the cylinder. There is no rust, scratches or rub marks anywhere. There is of course a hairline cylinder drag ring present on all used revolvers. The silver hammer has some very slight toning from age.
The gun indexes properly and locks up tight.
The walnut Colt factory grips are from a later generation and have been lacquered which can be easily removed. The grips themselves are in very nice condition, no splits or chips missing and should clean up nicely.
The recoil shield, force cone and cylinder face show no evidence of heavy use. The bore is super, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. If you ever wanted a competition class .38 revolver without having to sell your first born here's your chance....SHIPPED....$420.
