Iver Johnson Automatic Safety Revolver 2nd model Cal. 32, Ser 6748.
Super rare and somewhat worn. This gun has the very rare Patented Bourne Knuckle Duster option. This feature was offered By Iver Johnson from 1903-1907. Records indicate that only about 7000 were sold. Research about this very rare oddity indicates that the Presidents McKinley and Robert Kennedy assassinations and the attempt on Roosevelt were carried out with Iver Johnson pistols.
This oddity has a lot of holster time. The barrel has scattered surface pitting. The frame has several areas of surface flaking as does the cylinder. The remaining blue is about 50%.
The gun locks up tight and indexes properly. The Bakelite grips are perfect as is the grip screw. The bore, surprisingly, is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling.
It is a very scarce gun with a very unusual family history. It is a real find for the serious curio collector and very modestly priced considering it's rarity....SHIPPED....$465.
