Description:
Stone original early 1911 (1916) that was reworked by Augusta Arsenal for WW2.  Purchased by the current owner in the early '50's from the old Director of Civilian Marksmanship program.  L marked military 7 round magazine.  I think that the slide release, grips and the grip safety were replaced during the rework process, all else looks right to me.  Old repark from the arsenal has a green tint to it.  Not that ugly light gray parkerizing on the 1911's coming out of the CMP today.  Barrel hood has a vertical P and a vertical H stamp.  I shot the gun, so it works.  Heavy GI trigger pull.  Bore is bright, oiled and clean.  Thought about taking this one home for myself, but I can't keep them all!  SN 172xxx.  Priced to sell!  $35 shipping to the lower 48 and 3% surcharge for using a CC.  If you choose to pay with a personal check, we will keep the item for up to 10 days to ensure that the check clears- and please expedite delivery of the pymt, as we will hold an item on your word for 5 days.
