This Colt was produced in late 1960. The serial number on this pistol is 32538 SA. It is fitted with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. This Colt is one of the earliest pistols to be fitted with the new model hammer that has the low profile look with the pivot firing pin. That style hammer came out in late 1960. This pistol is in unfired condition. This Colt however has been cocked and handled slightly. There is a light drag line between some of the bolt stops. That is the only blemish to this fine Colt. The hard rubber grips are matched serial nubered to this pistol. The vivid color cased finish is really stunning and colorful! The color cased finish would rate a 100% overall condition. The original Colt bluing would rate a 98% on the cylinder and 100% on the rest of the pistol. The original box is serial numbered to this Colt. The box contains the cleaning brush, warranty card, instruction sheet and handling the handgun card. The gold label is bright and intact. The box itself is sound with the top lid front section slightly separated at the corners. This is a very fine Colt Single Action Army with the black box having one of the earliest production new style hammers. This is a highly collectable pistol for the serious collector.
