The factory letter states that this Colt was one of three pistols that was sent to Simmons Hardware Co. Philadelphia Pennsylvania on February 26th 1916. This pistol's barrel is in very fine condition. The hard rubber grips are in near new condition, having no cracks or chips. The checkering is sharp with nice clear logos. The action is smooth and the trigger release is crisp. the magazine is the correct original marked magazine for this pistol. The original blue would rate a good 95% overall condition. There is only high point wear and some age speckling on the slide. This Colt is the latter style of the 1902 civilian military with the newer style hammer and slide grip placement to the back of the slide. This pistol certainly rates being in the collectors quality and grading class! These long slides are very hard to find in this condition. Most of these pistols saw hard service and use. This is a great looking pistol that should keep any collector happy to have in their collections. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details. Curio&Relic BLKE (10) F.
