In April, 2017, an extremely small number of decommissioned Colt USMC Close Quarter Battle Pistols were released to the public. They were sold by Colt after being returned by the Marine Corps, who had exchanged them for the same pistols finished in Ion bond. The USMC Engraving on the left side of the frame was X'd out to signify the decommissioned status. In total 1,000 pistols were sold through the exchange. Of that number, 470 were 'issued' and 530 were 'unissued'. This example is one of the issued guns and shows all of the wear and tear you would expect from a pistol carried by a Marine. Mechanically, the pistol remains in great condition. Since their release, the value of these pistols have increased substantially as the Colt collecting community has become aware of them. This is a "must-have" for any Colt collector and they are expected to continue to rise in value as they become scarce in the secondary market. This pistol is complete with one magazine and Colt letter.
