About Us: We are an “Old School” gun store with a vintage Western style. We do carry various modern pistols, revolvers and long guns. However, our specialty is vintage firearms including bolt action, lever action and semi automatic rifles. For example, we usually have at least two or three M-1 Garand rifles at any given moment. Other times we may have one or two Springfield 1903 rifles. Also in stock are a few dozen lever action rifles available in different calibers & barrel lengths. Lastly, we have a wide variety of Colt Single Action Army revolvers in different calibers and barrel lengths. (NOTE: we try & remove items from Guns International ASAP if they are sold through our retail location, but there may be a slight delay in doing so)
Description:
This consignment item is a Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 with a double serial number. Included is a letter from Roy Jenks, Smith and Wesson’s historian. The letter indicates that this revolver has a twin with the same serial number. If you can find the other one to make a matching pair, you’d have quite an investment. According to the letter, the other 29-2 was shipped to Seattle, whereas this one went to Texas. This 29-2 has a pinned barrel, recessed cylinder and is in VG/EXC condition. There is a light drag mark on the cylinder. Please see pictures for more details and read the accompanying letter from Smith & Wesson.
