Here is a entry level Maynard for begining collector,parts,or great hanger. It has a 26" shotgun barrel with matching numbers to receiver.Barrel is a nice plum blue type finish, The hammer cocks and snaps fine. The top-strap broke and is repaired with a strap bolted and glued to to top-strap. The action opens and locks up, though loosely. This area would need attention.The stock is sound with one age crack. I believe though marked 1873, the head spacing has been reworked to what would seem to be a model 1882; see photos.I sell this as an antique for display ,or collecting purposes. If intending to shoot, one must have a gunsmith check for safety and correct load.
