WESTERN VIRGINIA FLINTLOCK LONGRIFLE CIRCA EARLY 1900’S. 54” o/a with .38 cal. rifled octagon 39” barrel inscribed on the barrel in crude electric pencil “T. H. POOR FOR H.C. WILLYS”. Walnut stock with tin patch box and inlays and brass mounts and trigger guard. German silver ramrod pipes. Patch box door inscribed “THIS MY SIGN” with two “PAW” prints beneath. Flint lock using an old plate and hand made hammer and frizzen assembly. Old hickory ramrod. Good overall with excellent bore. Lock does not hold on cock. Colorful country gunsmith rifle.
