We have here a consignment from a Colt collector of a US Army issue Colt New Service 1909 Double Action revolver in .45 Colt. Year of manufacture is 1911. "United States Property" marked, 5 1/2 inch barrel with a bright shiny bore, 60% condition, excellent overall condition, mechanically fine. Renaldo A. Carr (RAC) inspected and marked, Army Inspector of Ordnance Colonel Frank Baker (F.B.) acceptance mark. This revolver has a good bit of holster wear but the finish is otherwise good and markings are clear and sharp. Screws are good except left side frame screw is blemished. Normal wear marks expected for a 1911 made revolver. As well this set comes with an unopened armory sealed box of Frankford Arsenal .45 ammunition made specifically for this model and marked as made December 29, 1913, a Textan 1942 US marked holster (WWII era issue made for a Colt 1917 revolver) and abelt that appears period correct for the holster but of the year of manufacture for the belt is unknown. This is a nice set for any Colt military collector or anyone simply interested in the 1909 revolver. Shipping will made in 2 parts with the ammunition separate. Shipping and insurance is $75.
