The Colt Woodsman Sport Model, 1st Series, was made from 1933 to 1947. The pistols were fitted with a 4 1/2 inch barrel, fixed sights, checkered wood grips, bottom mag release, (1) 10-round magazine, blue finished only, and chambered in .22 LR. This 1947 vintage (last year produced) Woodsman is as described and is in excellent original condition, retaining 98-99% of its original blue finish and mint condition grips. The bore looks like new and the action functions the same. Comes with a Woodsman box and factory test target serial numbered to a pistol made in early 1948. Also comes with a aftermarket 10-round magazine and Colt Shooting Suggestions pamphlet. Is it possible this gun was placed in the wrong box back when it was originally purchased, we'll never know, certainly would not be that first time, or last, it has happened.
