Description:
The Savage Model 99 is a series of hammerless lever action rifles created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The Model 99 featured a unique rotary magazine, and was the first lever-action rifle to use spitzer (pointed) bullets. This particular model is a Savage 99B Takedown manufactured in 1925. Chambered in .303 Savage, it sports a steel crescent butt plate, buckhorn sights, round counter, cocking indicator and schnabel forend. This gun is in wonderful condition for being 94 years old! It does show age appropriate handling marks in stock, forend and barrel.
