Description:
The Winchester Model 63 was made from 1933 to 1958, with approximately 174,692 manufactured. The semi automatic rifles were fitted with a 20 or 23 inch barrel, open sights, plain pistol grip stock, blue finished, later manufactured guns had grooved receivers, and chambered in (as stamped on the barrel) .22 LONG R-SUPER SPEED & SUPER X. This 1937 vintage Winchester is as described and fitted with a 23 inch barrel and non-grooved receiver. It is in very good condition, with the barrel retaining 90% of its original blue finish, the receiver about 20%, the forend cap 10%, and the steel butt-plate 30%. The stock and forearm appear to retain most of their original finishes, with assorted minor handling marks. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly.
