This is a Custom Remington Model 700 BDL  in .280 Ackley Improved. It was built by Wayne York of Oregon Gunsmithing. It is chambered in .280 Ackley Improved as defined by Ackley, not Nosler. Empty casing is part of included ammunition.
There are two manufacturers of 280 Ackley Improved ammunition, Nosler and Hornady with Nosler offering more choices than Hornady. Both manufacturers load to Saami Specifications. The SAAMI spec 280 Ackley Improved chamber is .014 inches shorter at the headspace dimension than the traditionally accepted wildcat chamber spec as previously produced. This model 700 has a traditional, non-Saami, chamber and will successfully and safely fire Saami spec ammunition and will be fire formed to the original P.O. Ackley specifications. For reloading purposes, buy a set of traditional 280 Ackley Improved dies, not the new Saami Spec dies like Redding currently offers.  See the link below from Redding explaining the chamber differences between the two. There is a shot round in one of the boxes of Nosler ammo that shows new factory ammo can be safely fired in the traditional Ackley 280 chamber.
